Rivermont Schools' commitment to utilizing data-driven resources is transforming special education practices and therapeutic outcomes. This year’s theme is “Elevating Excellence” because there is no comparable program that also has our ability to combine our resources to collect, disaggregate, and analyze data for meaningful change in our various fields. As a result, we have developed live behavioral data dashboards to identify trends and patterns that shape intervention strategies and research into serious incidents.
For example, data revealed a trend of serious incidents involving new employees. Identifying this insight helped inform and improve current professional development and onboarding process for new staff. Rivermont Schools also use data to improve curriculum and instruction. Another example is our use of coaching and observation platforms to positively impact student learning in the classroom.
The use of educational, behavioral, therapeutic, and clinical treatment, coupled with new data collection strategies has equipped our teams to represent Rivermont Schools at state and national conferences. Our teams become leaders in the field as they share best practices and contribute to educational excellence.

Through the efforts of the Behavior, Therapeutic, and Clinical (BTC) team, led by Principal Heather Pinzon, the student's attendance improved to 89% by March.
