New Rivermont Schools Campus Coming to Midlothian in Fall 2026
Posted August 03, 2026
Rivermont Schools will open a new campus in Midlothian in fall 2026, expanding access to specialized K–12 programming for students with special education needs.
The new school will be located at 1221 Alverser Drive in Midlothian and will provide specialized therapeutic education for students who need additional academic, behavioral, and therapeutic support. Its programs are built around close collaboration among educators, families, and school districts, helping students work toward consistent goals across school, home, and the community.
The new 26,000-square-foot campus is being designed to support both learning and student services. It will include 10 classrooms and four therapy rooms for individualized and small-group work. Two sensory rooms will give students structured spaces to regulate and return to learning.
The campus will also feature a gymnasium for movement and skill development, along with a playground for outdoor activities and structured peer interaction.
To celebrate the new campus, Rivermont will host an open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, August 13, 2026. The open house will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and the ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held from noon to 1:00 p.m. Families, district partners, and community members are invited to tour the building, meet members of the Rivermont team, and learn more about the academic, behavioral, and therapeutic support available to students.
RSVP for the event.
